We found a cool site where you can create your own online Mix Tape (i.e., for those of us old enough to be very familar with mix tapes). You share up to 12 MP3s, creating your own “Virtual Mix Tape”. Registration is free.

Use the video link below to view the hot 80’s band “the Exotic Birds” that Trent Reznor was in. The video is a very cheesy news report on the hot new technology of music using computers. They even interview “computer musician” Thomas Dolby.

Pleix Films. I originally found this website a while back looking for more stuff on PLAID, which is a great ambient electronic group that couples their music with apropos videos. Pleix describes themselves (taken from website): “Pleix is a virtual community of digital artists based in Paris. Some of us are 3D artists, some others are musicians or graphic designers. This website is the perfect place to share our latest creations.”

Check out the videos they have shared on their website. They are intriguing, strange, and funky. One of the videos constists of nothing but dogs in mid-flight (the music goes great with this one). Another has people in bunny suits sporting good dance moves with an attitude to match.

The Top 50 Music Videos of 2006, according to DoCopenhagen. I am not sure we would have picked these 50 videos as the “best of 2006″ but they are amusing none the less. The cool thing about this page is that they have all 50 videos embedded into the web page for your viewing.
